Nurses at Providence Oregon hospitals reached a tentative deal after a 26-day strike, improving working conditions and pay.

Nurses at eight Providence hospitals reached a tentative contract agreement with the health system’s leaders late Tuesday, nearing a possible end to a strike that was in its 26th day.

The struggle of Oregon nurses must be connected to the fight against the Trump administration's fascist attacks on immigrants and dismantling of public health.

Union members still need to ratify the contract. Voting is set to start Thursday morning and end Friday afternoon.
