Two people with knowledge of the deal say the Dallas Mavericks are acquiring Caleb Martin in a trade with Philadelphia that sends Quentin Grimes to the 76ers.

Martin came to the Sixers with huge expectations but was plagued by injuries. He missed the last 12 games. KJ Martin, another Sixers forward, was sidelined Tuesday because of a pending trade.

The Dallas Mavericks acquired Martin on Tuesday in a trade with the 76ers that sends Grimes back to the Eastern Conference. Philadelphia also gets a 2025 second-round pick in a deal that was announced a few hours before the teams were set to play at the Wells Fargo Center.
