Chaos erupted after community activist Jedidiah Brown called Thornton Township Supervisor Tiffany Henyard an expletive.

This was also the first Dolton Village Board meeting since an independent investigation found widespread financial mismanagement in the troubled south suburb. As Jermont Terry reports, Dolton Mayor Tiffany Henyard was not there.

During the brawl, Supervisor Tiffany Henyard herself ran from her seat at the table in the front of the room to intervene.

Board supervisor Tiffany Henyard and activist Jedidiah Brown traded barbs Wednesday, a day after Brown's comments about the embattled Henyard — who is also the mayor of Dolton — sparked a melee.

Thornton Township was prepared to get back to business Tuesday night, but a large fight broke out after an activist called Supervisor Tiffany Henyard an expletive.

Extra security was in place Monday night for a Dolton Village Board meeting, following a brawl last week at a board meeting for Thornton Township.

The meeting is also the first since an independent investigation found widespread financial mismanagement in the troubled south suburb. Jermont Terry reports.

A Dolton Village Board meeting tonight will be the first since a report about Mayor Tiffany Henyard came out. Henyard said she might not attend that meeting after a brawl broke out at a Thornton Township board meeting last week.
