With freezing cold rain and a chance of snow predicted for Tuesday night, cold weather shelters will open in Multnomah, Clackamas and Washington counties.

Sunday is bringing milder temperatures in the mid to upper 70s to North Texas, with a sunny outlook for the week.

North Texas is experiencing unusually warm weather, with temperatures tying a 1911 record of 84 degrees. A cold front will slightly lower temperatures, but they will remain well above average.

A couple of cold fronts will impact North Texas this week, but the cooler air associated with these fronts will remain north of the Dallas-Fort Worth area. As a result, we will have to wait until late Saturday for the next significant cool-down.
