The Boston Bruins secured a 4-3 overtime victory against the Florida Panthers on Saturday to snap their six-game losing streak.

Bruins forward Morgan Geekie played a significant role in the win, as the 26-year-old forward scored the team's game-winning goal. It was a beauty, too, as he one-timed a perfect feed from David Pastrnak for the goal.

Boston Bruins goaltender Joonas Korpisalo stopped all 29 shots he faced against the Ottawa Senators on Thursday evening. The Senators had a slight edge in the shot total, but Korpisalo was able to lead the way.

Morgan Geekie scored for the Bruins (23-20-6), who are 3-1-1 in their past five games. Jeremy Swayman allowed four goals on 29 shots in two periods. He was replaced by Joonas Korpisalo (five saves on six shots) at the start of the third period.

Morgan Geekie scored the game-winning goal and Joonas Korpisalo recorded a 29-save shutout as the Boston Bruins beat the visiting Ottawa Senators 2-0 on Thursday night. Geekie tallied at 2:06 of the second period, his second goal in as many games and fourth in a six-game span.

With Bruins starter Jeremy Swayman sidelined (minor upper body-injury), Korpisalo, who had a 3.27 goals-against average and .890 save-percentage with the Senators a year ago, got the start. This season, Korpisalo had a 2.88 goals-against average and .891 save-percentage going into Thursday’s game. His GAA dropped to 2.70 after the shutout.

It’s not like the Ottawa Senators stunk up the TD Garden on Thursday. It wasn’t like the game two days before when the Senators absorbed an embarrassing 5-0 road spanking against the New York Rangers.
