Robert Saleh may not have to wait long for his next head-coaching chance. Saleh has emerged as a legitimate candidate for the Jaguars after being fired by the Jets last season, The Athletic reported. The website noted that while it may feel out of “left field” there is some “real buzz” surrounding Saleh’s chances in Jacksonville.

The Dallas Cowboys have completed their interview with Robert Saleh but have yet to make a decision on their open head coaching position.

According to a report from Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic, “there’s some real buzz about” Saleh becoming the next head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars. The team fired Doug Pederson last week and will be on their fifth HC this decade:

Jets defensive line coach Aaron Whitecotton and cornerbacks coach Tony Oden are also both under consideration for roles on Glenn’s staff, according to sources.

The Jets have reportedly hired Glenn as their next head coach on Wednesday, replacing Robert Saleh (and interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich). The now-former Lions defensive coordinator has risen the ranks from scout to coordinator and now gets his first shot at head coaching.

Aaron Glenn was hired to be their 19th full-time head coach on Wednesday. Glenn, who was the Jets’ first-round draft choice in 1994 and played eight seasons for the team, spent the past four years as the Lions defensive coordinator.
