The Brooklyn Nets will be without their lead ball-handler on Wednesday against the Phoenix Suns. D’Angelo Russell will be sidelined due to left hamstring tightness/injury management on the second night of a back-to-back.

Phoenix is notably coming off of an ugly loss at the hands of the NBA-best Cleveland Cavaliers, but the silver lining is that the Nets are currently boasting a 14-29 record and that the roster largely remains healthy going into the matchup. There are only two names on the current injury report, and the names have been mainstays over the last week.

The Brooklyn Nets aren’t interested in winning too many games — nor should they be — but their starting point guard might throw a wrench into those plans.

The Los Angeles Lakers have only made one trade this year so far. They decided to ship out D'Angelo Russell in return for Dorian Finney-Smith and Shake Milton. Milton has already fallen out of the rotation in Los Angeles.
