Ford has issued a recall affecting 149,449 Bronco SUVs from model years 2021 to 2024 due to a critical issue with the rear suspension that could result in parts detaching while driving. The recall specifically targets Badlands and Sasquatch models,

The Ford Bronco is marketed as one of the most capable off-roaders on sale but an issue with its trick rear shocks has forced the automaker to issue a recall for almost 150,000 examples in the United States. While Ford doesn’t know of any accidents or injuries caused by the problem, it had received 551 warranty claims as of December 11.

Ford is recalling 149,449 Bronco SUVs due to a potential suspension defect that could result in rear dampers detaching.The recall affects 2021–2024 Bronco Badlands and Sasquatch models, which are equipped with remote-reservoir dampers that may corrode over time.

Amid its fight to decrease the number of recalls connected to its name, Ford issued another one for the Bronco.

A manufacturing defect in the vehicles' 12-volt batteries can cause them to stall at low speeds, or not restart after stopping. The automaker will fix the flaw for free.

Ford is recalling 149,449 examples of its body-on-frame Bronco because of rear shocks that can fail due to corrosion. This recall only affects Broncos with external reservoir shocks, which includes Badlands and Broncos equipped with the Sasquatch package. Ford says the remedy is under development, and that it will notify owners by mail.

There is a new recall at Ford, this time covering a very specific slice of the Bronco trim walk and concerning the possible failure of critical suspension pieces. The company doesn’t yet have a fix for the problem.
