The City of New Orleans says it has spent more than 18 months preparing to host its 11th Super Bowl on Feb. 9.

Opening Night: On the Monday before the big game, the public can hit Opening Night at the Superdome at 5 p.m. for $20 a person. The event includes New Orleans-themed entertainment and a chance to see both teams and coaches in their sole public appearance before the game.

The NFL is putting in place heightened security measures for the New Orleans Super Bowl after the New Years Day attack on Bourbon Street.
