The minus-20 wind chill didn't deter some fans from celebrating Notre Dame football's return home from Atlanta on Tuesday.

Notre Dame and Miami will kick off the 2025 season on a Sunday night, it was revealed in the ACC schedule release show.

Now that Notre Dame’s College Football Playoff run has come to an end, we’re likely to see several Irish players enter the transfer portal over the next few days. According to our reporting partners at the South Bend Tribune,

Notre Dame players were angry after their loss to Ohio State in the title game. But there was motivation after its College Football Playoff run.

Then, for the biggest play of the game, Notre Dame decided to leave Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith on an island. It was third and 12 and the Fighting Irish would get the ball back with a stop with a chance to tie the game. Smith completely burned his defender and he was wide open for a huge gain, and he iced the game.

Notre Dame fans flocked to local establishments to watch their beloved Fighting Irish play for the national championship.

Notre Dame is an independent but plays four other ACC schools. The dates for those games have yet to be set but the opponents are: at Pitt, at Boston College, North Carolina State, and Syracuse. The Miami game is scheduled for Hard Rock Stadium on Aug. 30 but it could move anywhere from Aug. 28 to Sept. 1.
