The Lion King has crossed another epic milestone at the global box office and caught up with Sonic the Hedgehog 3.

While it looked like 'One of Them Days' would prevail at the holiday weekend box office, Disney's 'Mufasa: The Lion King' ended up reigning over the competition.

Now, Disney+ is preparing to make a massive expansion of its Lion King collection by adding not just a new movie but a live concert event celebrating the original film as well. It's definitely great to be the king.
